Paul Stormoen, Managing Director at OX2 says: “We are very happy to announce this large order for the Valhalla project and further strengthen our long-standing releationship with Vestas. The upgraded V136-4.2 MW offers a good match for us and the site. This project is also an acknowledgement to OX2’s and Vestas’ joint focus on the continuous cost of energy improvements necessary for wind energy to lead the way towards a 100 percent renewable energy system”.
“This order is a major milestone for us in Sweden, both in terms of its sheer size and because the project will feature our new upgraded V136-4.2 MW technology — which gives significant AEP increases in medium wind conditions. With this order, we continue our strong partnership with OX2, adding new and very competitive renewable energy infrastructure to the Swedish energy market through the latest technology”, adds Christer Baden, Vestas Head of Sales Nordics.
The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. Delivery of the wind turbines is expected to begin in the second half of 2019, with commissioning planned for first half of 2020.
